Passion for the Houses, Passion for Galicia
My name is Agustín Pacheco, born in the Canary Islands, but Galician at heart. For 25 years I've worked in the real estate sector, and every week I travel hundreds of kilometers in a light blue Citroën C3 visiting houses in the villages and towns of Galicia.
When I arrived from the Canary Islands, I came face to face with what I had dreamed of. It shocked me.
The rivers, the mountains, the railway, the storks, the men and women of the villages, often trapped by snow. I was struck by how they told me stories of their lives, how they lived off the animals and the land.
Since I noticed that almost all real estate agencies focus on apartments and houses in cities, I thought, "I'm going to dedicate myself to selling where I feel passionate." All of that helped me sell in rural areas.
Each visit is unique. I visit houses that hold stories, where time seems to have stood still. Every day I see doors and windows that were once closed and are waiting for someone to open them again, to breathe life back into a house that sheltered a simple, hardworking life, full of dreams.
This is how I travel around Galicia every day. On this trip, visiting houses to promote them on social media and this website, I'm accompanied by Olga and Oscar.
